SAFESHARE

Image
SAFESHARE       For this post I'm going to share a website called SafeShare. Safeshare is another website I tested out for the 7 events worksheet. It's a simple and easy to use software. Heres a quick and simple explanation to match.          Safeshare is as self explanatory as the name. It allows you to share videos with your students easily with minimal security concerns. With safe share, you can create playlists for your videos, or groupings for your videos to be assigned to. When adding videos to your safeshare account you just simply copy and paste the url of the video. You then are given some prompts to fill out, or are simply filled out for you from the link you inserted. For example I did a youtube video of a read aloud, so the title was filled out and the description from the youtube creators page was copied and pasted as well. Of course as an educator you can change the titles and descriptions ...

NEARPOD

NEARPOD            In this post I wanted to discuss, Nearpod, a website that I chose to explore for the 7 events worksheet as well as from Dr. Wang's technologies powerpoint. Near pod is mentioned in the top 15 mentioned softwares between Elementary and Secondary, being mentioned for both.      Nearpod is similar to both EdPuzzle, and EdSocrative with the interactive aspects for students and the saving of different lessons already created and available on the website. The differences being the layout of the website, as well as the range of grades and activities.      For example, near pod has more options on the side menu and home page. It has a tutorial type of emphasis when first logging on. Theres a blue banner with what seems like milestones to reach to understand the layout easier. This is exceptionally helpful for teachers to get the full access quicker and easier.      Another example of differences I ment...

EDSOCRATIVE

EDSocrative      This post is about a website I tested called EDSocrative. I chose this as one of 3 to look at for the 7 Events framework activity sheet. I created my own account and class, to be able to fully interact and explore the website. Logging into the Educator account the home page has tabs across the top; Launch, Library, Discover, Rooms, Reports and Results.      The launch tab is considerably the "home page" giving you 6 options. Quiz where you can launch a quiz that you have saved to your account. When selecting launch, and the quiz, it gives you more options in which how you want questions to be shuffled, attempts, how you want the quiz to be paced or monitored, etc. Space Race, is essentially the same as quiz only now it has the emphasis of speed and time. Allowing you to create teams, adjust the timing etc. Exit Ticket, has a totally different layout than those two, but essentially allows you to assign something for the whole class to...

EDPUZZLE.COM

Ed Puzzle          EDPuzzle is the website or software I shared in class. I played on this website by creating my own account and classroom. I even went ahead and had my friend join into my classroom, and attempt some of the assigned activities. Here is a breakdown of what services are available through this website.  Assigning class or individual work. Interactive participation of direct instruction lessons. Uploading your own lesson content. Grading. Class or Individual Work On the left side there is a tab menu, where you can see, tabs for, "Discover", and "Edpuzzle Originals". These two tabs allow you to explore Ed Puzzle's videos, lessons, and content that are already available via the website. You have the options look by grade, subject, community, country, even a search bar. To which when finding one you want to look at, you can either watch to interact with. Or you can select by clicking a small box on the bottom right corner of all the videos...
