Sway

In this post I will be discussing Sway, my second choice from Dr. Wang's Microsoft vs Google list.

Sway is a microsoft technology that is used to create presentations, and it seems like other documents as well. The homepage seemed to give the same amount of options as google drive. I selected to do a presentation as if I was going to do a lesson, or as a student doing an assignment. It was a bit of a struggle to understand the layout. It has two tabs, "Storyline" and "Design". Storyline is where you add different parts, like your slides, texts and images. I struggled trying to understand how it was all going to look, and what I was really doing or editing. I had to swap back and forth between the two tabs, to see what was I was changing.

I may do an updated post, when I've completed something and understand it more. However with how confusing it was to navigate it, I do not want to try.

  1. Hi Caitlyn,
I have never heard of sway before. Looking at your pictures it looks like it is going to be confusing to use. Definitely looks like it takes a learning curve to understand for sure!

  2. Hey Caitlyn,
I enjoyed reading your blog! I have never used sway, but will have to look into it. This tool seems a bit challenging, but I believe that it can be very helpful for a lot of students.
