Sway
In this post I will be discussing Sway, my second choice from Dr. Wang's Microsoft vs Google list.
Sway is a microsoft technology that is used to create presentations, and it seems like other documents as well. The homepage seemed to give the same amount of options as google drive. I selected to do a presentation as if I was going to do a lesson, or as a student doing an assignment. It was a bit of a struggle to understand the layout. It has two tabs, "Storyline" and "Design". Storyline is where you add different parts, like your slides, texts and images. I struggled trying to understand how it was all going to look, and what I was really doing or editing. I had to swap back and forth between the two tabs, to see what was I was changing.
I may do an updated post, when I've completed something and understand it more. However with how confusing it was to navigate it, I do not want to try.

Hi Caitlyn,
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of sway before. Looking at your pictures it looks like it is going to be confusing to use. Definitely looks like it takes a learning curve to understand for sure!
Hey Caitlyn,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your blog! I have never used sway, but will have to look into it. This tool seems a bit challenging, but I believe that it can be very helpful for a lot of students.
Hi Caitlyn!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of Sway before. I appreciate your honesty about how confusing the website is! That is why we need to play with all these different technologies. Great post!
